We would like to invite you to participate in “The Mahi Madness Derby” The first Three month long fishing tournament in the history of Kona! The exposure for your business will be invaluable, rather than the existing one to three day tournaments, your business or product will be in front of your target audience for an entire three months! We are offering four levels of sponsorship!
Bronze- For $250 of trade or product, your business will be displayed on our website and on all advertising (except radio) of the tournament for an entire 90 days!
Silver- For $500 of trade or product, you will also enjoy mention on the radio as well as a significant banner ad on our website and links to your own home page!
Gold- For $1000 of trade or product, We add a moving banner highlighting your products or
services, a banner prominently displayed at the harbor during tournament events, mention on all radio advertising, mention daily on VHF radio transmissions to tournament participants, and a free entrance into the event to either use or present to your friends or customers!
Platinum- (one only!) For $2500 of trade or product, your company will enjoy the headline sponsorship of the event! With all of the benefits of the lower levels plus free entrance of the boat of your choice, your name forever remembered and linked to the event!
What is The Kona Derby Series?
A series of three month long flag fish tournaments designed to increase popularity of fishing on the Big Island. Making it not only fun for the local fishermen but also an opportunity for the independent traveler to participate and promote fishing as an activity for those who otherwise might not consider it!
What is The Marlin Masters?
The first Marlin tournament to span the entire peak season for The Grandest fish in Kona waters!

Locals and visitors will return to our site almost daily to scan the progress of the tournament and to see the daily catches enhancing your business on a regular basis!
Who benefits from the tournament?
Basically Everybody! 60% of the entry fees get paid to the anglers of the biggest fish caught! 10% gets paid to charity, 10% goes towards Harbor repair and beautification, 20% goes toward advertising and administering the tournament!
